York Wedding Photography – Rachel & Oliver’s Beautiful York Wedding
A Picture-Perfect Day Across Four Stunning York Venues
Planning a York wedding? Looking for inspiration or a photographer who knows the city inside and out? This blog is for you. York is a city filled with historic charm, beautiful venues, and endless backdrops for romantic moments—and Rachel and Oliver’s wedding was a perfect example of just how magical a York wedding can be.
Their day was a whirlwind celebration across four of York’s loveliest venues, and it was an absolute joy to capture every moment. From getting ready at No:1 Guest House, to saying “I do” at the York Register Office, through a relaxed reception at Clementine’s Guest House, and finally dancing the night away at Pastelle Kitchen & Events—it was a day full of love, laughter, and lots of steps (over 20,000 of them, to be exact!).
Bridal Prep at No.1 York by GuestHouse
The day began at the stylish and welcoming No:1 Guest House York, where Rachel and her bridal party enjoyed a relaxed morning getting ready. Hair, makeup, laughter, and the buzz of excitement filled the air—an ideal start for any York wedding photography gallery.
York Register Office
From there, we walked down to the York Register Office, where the couple’s emotional ceremony was witnessed by their closest family and friends. The joy and connection between Rachel and Oliver were so clear, making it a dream to photograph this special moment. With the formalities complete, we took advantage of York’s beautiful streets for some relaxed couple portraits. As a York wedding photographer, I love how the city offers a perfect mix of history, charm, and character—every turn reveals a new photo opportunity. From ancient city walls to quaint alleyways, the walk gave us some truly memorable images and a chance for the newlyweds to take a breather together.
Drinks Reception at Clementine’s Guest House York
While the guests made their way to the next venue, we joined them shortly after at Clementine’s Guest House, a lovely spot for post-ceremony drinks and the all-important cake cutting. The atmosphere was warm and joyful—just what a celebration should be.
Wedding Breakfast at Pastelle Kitchen & Events
Our final venue was the stylish Pastelle Kitchen & Events, where the party truly came to life. Speeches were heartfelt, the wedding breakfast was full of flavour, and the couple’s first dance kicked off a night full of dancing and laughter. From a photography perspective, these are the moments that bring a wedding story full circle—genuine, fun, and full of love.
