We initially met Rob at a wedding fair in York, after a quick overview of the various packages and a look at his portfolio, we knew we wanted him to capture our special day. We had a few calls prior to our big day to coordinate and agree a list of photos we wanted. On reflection, Rob was our right hand man on our wedding day. He managed our guests and made sure we kept on track with our timeline. His photographs are candid and just beautiful, he’s very talented, experienced and professional. Rob Harrison Wedding Photography in York was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. If you’re looking for a professional wedding photographer in York who delivers natural, high-quality images, Rob is the one to book. He made us feel completely at ease on the day, capturing every moment effortlessly without ever feeling intrusive. The photos are stunning — a perfect mix of candid shots and beautifully composed portraits. Rob has a real talent for storytelling through his photography, and every image brings back the emotion of the day. From the morning preparations through to the evening celebrations, nothing was missed. Rob was our wedding photographer for our big day in September 2025. From the initial interaction at a wedding fair, we knew Rob was the photographer for us! He is down to earth, approachable, funny and really knows his stuff about the wedding industry! As part of the package, we arranged an "engagement" photo shoot. This was an afternoon of wandering and getting to know each other. The gallery of pictures are beautiful and helped all of us gain a sense of what was to come on our wedding day - can highly recommend! I left a separate review at the time - Rob is just THAT good. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, no question/query/panicked thought is too small for Rob. He provided us with some supplier suggestions when we were at a loose end and put all of my bride worries at ease. The wedding day itself went by so smoothly and Rob played a huge part in that! He listened to the moments that were important to us. He even printed 2 copies of the shot list because he KNEW I would forget mine. He didn't have his own agenda of shots he wanted for a portfolio (as is the impression with some other photographers); it truly was our day that he captured and it is evident in the beautiful wedding gallery we now have. The whole day has been captured immaculately. From the few "formal" moments, right down to the small moments of laughter and dancing. As a wedding venue manager I have the pleasure of meeting lots of talented photographers. Rob is definitely up there as one of the best I've met. It's not just about being able to take decent photos but it's largely about building up a real connection with couples. Rob is professional yet friendly. I asked Rob to take some autumn photos of me and my dog Aja. I am not the most photogenic person but Rob made me feel completely at ease. He listened to my ideas and brought them to life, but even better than I imagined! He also suggested other amazing ideas that turned out so beautiful! He was so patient and kind with my dog and with me! I am beyond happy with these photos. I could have posted a million ones I love, which is rare because normally I don't like photos of myself! Aja on the other hand is extremely photogenic and Rob really captured her character and personality. And our relationship together. We firstly enjoyed an engagement shoot where Rob put us both at ease and we knew we’d picked the right photographer for us at this point.
